Kent Yoder

Kent was born May 17, 1943 and raised in Middlebury, Indiana, a Mennonite and Amish farming community.  Growing up Kent enjoyed ping pong, checkers, golf, baseball, & basketball.

Kent attended Purdue University where he obtained a BS in Industrial Management. He began his job career as a sales engineer with Powers Regulator Co. in Skokie, Illinois. After two years he became a stockbroker in downtown Chicago.  While in Chicago he met his wife Linda, a flight attendant for United Airlines. They have two children Brett and Jaime and eight fantastic grandchildren.

Kent moved his family to Elkhart, Indiana, in 1973 where he joined his father’s petroleum business, Yoder Oil Co., Inc.  While in Elkhart his family began attending church and in 1985 Kent accepted Jesus Christ as his personal lord and savior.  Soon, Kent became actively involved in the Christian Businessmen’s Committee (CBMC) and presently serves as the committee’s chairman.

Kent loves to share his faith and lead others to Jesus Christ.  He enjoys teaching a course “Share Jesus without Fear” by Bill Faye. Since learning how to use this tool Kent has seen Jesus and the Holy Spirit harvest 100s of souls for Jesus Christ. Kent’s favorite bible verses are:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
