Silence and Solitude is a wonderful but challenging spiritual discipline practiced by our Lord Jesus Christ and by growing believers throughout the centuries of time. Silence and Solitude is a call to quiet the demands and questions in our soul in order to allow God to fill us with answers, directions, graces, and gifts we could not possibly acquire by our own efforts. In these times, Christians tend to believe that a full schedule will lead to a full soul. The truth is that the busier we are, the more empty our soul becomes.
Pastor Barb leads a small group experience monthly that will allow you the opportunity to nurture this discipline in your personal walk with the Lord. Our time starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. and concludes at 12:30 p.m. Please bring your bible, a journal and any other book or study material that the Lord places on your heart to bring. Wear comfortable for the current Sanibel weather condition clothing as much of your day may be spent outside in creation. Bring a bag lunch and your own beverage. R.S.V.P. to Pastor Barb at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday evening before each event. We’ll meet on the Sanibel Causeway on the west side near the bathhouse … bring a beach chair or blanket.
Future Dates will be announced.
