Pastoral Care

At Sanibel Community Church we practice believer’s baptism by immersion. Baptism doesn’t make someone a Christian, but rather it is a symbol of an inward faith. Typically we utilize the world’s largest baptistery, which is located at our beautiful beaches. If you sense the Holy Spirit prompting you to be immersed, contact our Church.

While we do not baptize infants at Sanibel Community Church, we do dedicate them to God in a powerful service of worship. The dedication service includes a charge to the parents to raise up their child in the love and grace of Jesus. Contact our Church for scheduling an infant or child dedication.

Often when people are home bound, or have an extensive stay in the hospital, it is a blessing to receive the Lord’s Supper. We have lay people, as well as pastoral staff who are willing to come and share the Lord’s Supper with you or a loved one who desires to receive the loaf and the cup of Jesus. We understand that we are instruments of the “God of all comfort” when it comes to providing assistance with the memorial service of a loved one. We will assist you in planning every detail of the memorial service, while providing compassionate pastoral care for you and your family during your time of loss. Pre-Planning Your Memorial Service

We are trained and equipped to assist you in pre-planning your own memorial service. Many have found this to be a great comfort to their family, knowing that you directly communicated your personal desires for your service of remembrance.
