Leadership

Jeramie grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received a B.A. in Bible and Ancient Languages from Wheaton College, and an M. Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jeramie served as the Senior Pastor of South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham, Massachusetts for 20 years. He then relocated to Evangelical Community Church in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where he served as Senior Pastor for four years. He is an author and trains pastors in expository preaching through the Charles Simeon Trust. Jeramie and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 1992 and have four children. Jeramie enjoys the outdoors, movies and board games.

Pastor Kevin loves working with teens and their families, having served in teen ministry for nearly two decades. Pastor Kevin came to SCC in 2014, ordained with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and has recently earned his Masters Degree in Biblical Leadership. Kevin is married to Stephanie who serves alongside him in the ministry and they have five children, Kristian, Karsten, Karmindy, Kelyse and Klark. When there is free time, Kevin enjoys walking the beach and looking for shells.

Pastor Doug has been part of SCC since 2016 and has served in churches for more than 23 years as a pastor. Doug is currently working to sharpen his skills by pursuing a Master of Divinity through Asbury Theological Seminary. Pastor Doug comes with a strong gifting in evangelism and discipleship. His primary responsibilities are with membership, adult discipleship, and community  groups. Doug is married to Carrie for nearly 28 years and has two adult children, Caleb and Mackenzie.  Doug loves to be outdoors either running or fishing.

Jeff was born and raised in Iowa. Following a successful career in business, he was called to ministry in 2010 and spent over ten years as the Executive Pastor at Antioch Christian Church in Marion Iowa. Jeff received undergraduate degrees in marketing and business administration. He also earned his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Lincoln Christian University. Jeff and his wife Robin have been married for 30 years and have sons Seth and Keaton. Seth attends ECS in Fort Myers and Keaton lives and works in Tucson Arizona. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and traveling.

Kristi has loved and followed Jesus for over forty years. She has served as Women’s Director on staff at three churches in California. She loves scripture and is passionate to serve the church through discipleship and Titus 2 relationships. Her passion is to teach the Word of God and exhort women to live out what they learn. Kristi grew up in Wichita, KS and attended college in Joplin MO, and CA. She has been married to Stan for 42 years. They are avid sports fans, love being fans of Kansas City Sport teams. They were blessed with two sons, Andrew, who is married to Anicia, and made them grandparents with their four year old grandson, Taj, and another son, Caleb. They make many trips to California to see their family. Kristi loves to cook, travel and find a bargain at a Thrift Store.

Sandy Lynn Bober is passionate about Jesus Christ and teaching children to hide God’s word in their hearts. She is a certified teacher with her Bachelors in History/Political Science from Rutgers University and Masters in Education from Hunter College. She recently received her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. Sandy Lynn has worked as a teacher; for a pregnancy resource center, and as the Director of Children’s Ministry at a large church in Northern New Jersey. Her husband Alex is also a certified teacher and they enjoy serving the Lord together and are both very missions-minded. They have five children, Sofia, Kaela, Tessa and Troy, and Willa.  In their free time the Bober's enjoy traveling, the outdoors and animals of all types!

Bryan has been serving in Church Production Ministry for 20 years leveraging his gifts & talents, with all things AVL / IT / Technology, to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is known as “Tech Support” with his family and friends. Bryan has been married to his wife Monica for over 20 years and they have 2 beautiful daughters. They have been living in Fort Myers for the past 10 years and the 10 previous years in Palm Beach, yet born & raised in southern New Jersey. In his free time, he is frequently out of cell phone range fishing, diving & lobstering but can also be found on the pickleball courts.

Vicki comes to the SCC Kitchen with 26 years of experience in catering and restaurant management. Having grown up in Chicago, IL, she graduated from College with a B.S. in Education. She has also taken classes at Hope Biblical counseling Center. Vicki and her family first visited the island in 1974 and moved to Sanibel full time, in 2000, after owning Vail Street Café in Arlington Heights, IL from 1992 – 2000. Vicki’s areas of expertise include: cooking and presentation. Vicki’s favorite bible quote comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17 English Standard Version (ESV) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Ashley was born and raised in NE Indiana.  She moved to the island in January of 2022 with her husband Brandon,  sons Oliver, Lawson, and Evan (now with Jesus), and their frenchie Ava.  She has a bachelor's degree in Family & Consumer Sciences from Ball State University.  In her spare time she enjoys some serious shelling on the beach and riding her bike around the island. 

Michele is a Florida cracker, having started life in Fort Myers. She married John aka “Whitey” in 2015. Whitey has two adult daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylie. Whitey and Michele do not have children of their own but they do have six corgis. Many of you may recognize Michele since she worked for the City of Sanibel previously at the Recreation Center. In her free time she enjoys reading about theology and photography.

Teddy grew up in Rochester, MN. He received his bachelors in Psychology from North Dakota State University and is finishing his Mdiv from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Teddy served as a Pastoral Intern at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC for 2 years before coming to SCC in the fall of 2022. Teddy is husband of 7 years to his best friend Allie and father to his second best friend Marlowe. In his spare time he enjoys sports and board games.

JT grew up in Fayetteville, NC.  After graduating with a BA and M. Div from Carolina University in 2021, he moved to Knoxville, TN where he worked at a faith-based homeless shelter for two years.  He also served as a Pastoral Resident for one year at Island Home Baptist Church where he felt God confirming his call to pastoral ministry.  He loves being outside, going on road trips, and finding new restaurants.
